Guide: Strategy
noon vs Amazon: where should a brand start?
There is no single winner. Start where your category already sells well, where you can meet the delivery promise and where your ad budget can compete. noon makes it easy for a UAE seller to test Saudi demand through its Global Store. Amazon gives brands stronger tools once they are in Brand Registry. Most growing brands end up on both.

Start with noon if
- You are a UAE company and want to test Saudi demand without setting up in Saudi Arabia.
- You do not have a trademark yet, so Amazon's brand tools are out of reach for now.
- Your category sells strongly on noon and your price point fits its shoppers.
Start with Amazon if
- You own a registered or pending trademark and want Brand Registry tools from day one.
- Your products suit FBA and Prime delivery.
- You want to measure outside traffic with Amazon Attribution once it is active in your account.
Run both from day one if
- You have enough stock, budget and people to keep two sets of listings, prices and ads in shape.
- Your top products already sell elsewhere, so you know the demand is there.
- You have one team running both, so prices and promotions do not undercut each other.
What we usually recommend
Pick the platform where your top ten products have the clearest gap in price, reviews or range. Launch there, prove the numbers over 60 to 90 days, then add the second platform with the listings and creative you have already tested. It costs less than learning everything twice.

Quick answers
Neither publishes figures that allow a fair comparison, and we have not found a credible independent market share number. Category matters more than overall size, so we check where your specific products sell.
Yes, and many brands do. Keep prices consistent, because shoppers compare, and plan stock so one platform's sale does not empty the other's shelf.
It depends on category. Referral fees overlap, fulfilment fees depend on size and weight, and ad costs depend on competition. We model the margin per product on both before deciding.
