How to send outside traffic to your noon and Amazon listings
Why send traffic from outside
Marketplace ads only reach people already searching on the marketplace. Outside traffic reaches people before they search, builds demand for your brand name, and adds the sales history and reviews that help a listing hold its place.
Step 1: pick the right products
- Products with solid reviews and a full image set.
- Enough stock to handle a spike.
- A price that holds up next to similar items.
- Margin that survives the referral fee, fulfilment fee and ad cost.
Step 2: set up tracking
On Amazon, Amazon Attribution creates a tag for each outside campaign and reports clicks, product page views, add to carts and sales. It is open to professional sellers in Brand Registry and to vendors, and Amazon lists the UAE and Saudi Arabia as eligible. Confirm it is active in your ad console before relying on it.
On noon, the External Ads Tracker in Seller Lab creates a tracking link for each campaign. It credits orders to the last outside ad clicked within 14 days and counts only sessions longer than three seconds, reporting sessions, orders and revenue.
Add your own tagged links and discount codes on top, so you can compare channels, creatives and creators on one sheet.
Step 3: choose your channels
| Channel | Best use | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Snapchat | Reach and launches in Saudi Arabia | About 25 million ad reach in Saudi Arabia in DataReportal's Digital 2026 report |
| TikTok | Product demos and creator content | The largest ad reach of any platform in both the UAE and Saudi Arabia in the same report |
| Instagram and Facebook | Retargeting and catalogue ads | Strong for people who already know the brand |
| Google Search and YouTube | Brand terms and product searches, video for launches | Captures people already looking |
| Creators | Trust and content that can run as ads | Licence checks are required in both countries |
Step 4: make creative that fits the feed
- Show the product in use in the first two seconds.
- Make Arabic and English versions, and test them side by side.
- Mention the platform, so viewers know where to buy.
- Refresh creative every few weeks before results fade.
Step 5: check creator licences
Since 1 February 2026 the UAE has required an advertiser permit for anyone posting paid, gifted or unpaid promotions for a brand, and brands must check that the creators they hire hold one. In Saudi Arabia, people who advertise on social media need a Mawthooq licence. Ask for the licence number before you sign.
Step 6: judge it on blended numbers
Attribution never captures everything. Some people see your ad, then search your brand on the marketplace later. Track total sales across noon, Amazon and your store against total ad spend, and watch whether branded searches grow. If total sales do not move after a fair test, stop and move the budget.
Mistakes to avoid
- Sending traffic to a listing with three reviews and a price above the competition.
- Judging a campaign on likes and clicks instead of orders.
- Using creators without checking their licence.
- Running the same video in Riyadh and Dubai without adapting it.
